Both lifetime memberships and student annual memberships are available.

Lifetime Membership

Tell the cashier you wish to become a member and choose one of the following payment options:

  1. A one-time member equity payment of $60; or
  2. $65 in three annual installments (a $25 initial payment and $20 due
    by June 1st in each of the following two years. The installment plan
    includes a $5 non-refundable administrative fee.); or
  3. Special: A one-time payment of $65 for membership and a cloth shopping bag with the store logo

You will receive a member number with your payment and immediately
get membership benefits. We would be happy to discuss alternative
payment plans for individuals with special financial needs. Please ask
to talk to the manager.

Membership Benefits and Opportunities

  1. 10% discount the day you join
  2. Monthly member specials (discounts of 10-50% on selected items)
  3. Discount for paying by cash or check
  4. 10% discount on bulk special orders
  5. Coffee club: prepay for 10 pounds at $6.50/lb.
  6. Vote in membership meetings and elect your board of directors
  7. Join a committee
  8. The satisfaction of community ownership
  9. Working member discounts (optional): A working member is an integral part of the Whole Earth Grocery whose efforts help keep costs down. Hours worked in one month entitle a discount the following month. (Members are not required to become working members.)
  10. Single Adult Household:
    1. 4 hours earns 8%
    2. 8 hours earns 15%
  11. Multi Adult Household:
    1. 6 hours earns 8%
    2. 12 hours earns 15%

Student Annual Membership

A student membership is $10 per year and is valid September 1 - August 31.
